Abstract. A theory that considers the possibility that the world is not real is pushed forward. Alternating observations of discrete imperfections to supposedly continuous phenomena, as well as too perfect cycles of patterns, are made with inconclusive results. Prior research suggests that these successions of notably large, yet disturbingly finite binary truth tests by the Engine. Whether It is an enabling construct brought into being by mathematicians beyond our ken, Its own intelligence, or our own collective logics, cannot be ascertained. What can be conclusively stated is that It is everywhere, and we want to escape.

I had hoped this would actually be about a simulation in a Babbage Engine rather than just a universal ruleset.
